Sports warehouse retailer, Decathlon, has expanded into the Australian snow sports market, by introducing European snow brand Wed'ze to its offering.
Decathlon and Wed'ze have been partnered together since 1997 to offer consumers in Europe quality, affordable snow gear, but 2019 marks the first time the brand has been offered at the Australian Decathlon stores and website.
Decathlon will carry over 100 product lines in time for the Australian snow season and will offer them year round for the dedicated snow enthusiasts who travel to the northern hemisphere.
In a statement, Decathlon said that while Australians might not know the Wed'ze brand, it is well known across Europe.
"While Australians may be unfamiliar with the Wed'ze brand, it has been a key name on the European slopes for more than a decade.
"Wed'ze's philosophy is to introduce the joy of snow sports to everyone, irrespective of level or style.
"Wed'ze's design centre is located in the heart of the French Alps, in the legendary Mont-Blanc valley, as close as possible to the ski resorts. It's here, through contact with skiers and snowboarders, that Wed'ze's team of designers, garment designers, product managers and engineers work together to devise and design technical equipment to meet the needs and desires of sportsmen and women, with just one goal in mind: customer satisfaction."
The Wed'ze range will be offered at Decathlon's four Australian stores, as well as online.
