David Jones has strengthened its partnership with menswear business The Academy Brand.

Building on its existing relationship as a key stockist for the label, David Jones is set to roll out 22 premium concept stores across its network from this month.

The expansion of the brand within the department store is a result of its strong performance which is reportedly ranked one of the highest-performing menswear label;s in David Jones' portfolio.

David Jones GM menswear and childrenswear Deborah Foreman said that the company is thrilled to bolster its support of the brand.

“We are delighted to be expanding our offering of The Academy Brand from August, with the collection set to be available in all stores Australia wide, including 22 bespoke concept stores.

"The Academy Brand was introduced to David Jones in 2010 and has continued to grow from strength to strength, offering our male customer a unique range of casual wardrobe staples.”

The Academy Brand founder Anthony Pitt believes the partnership has given the business credibility in the retail space.

"This is the next exciting step in what is already a very successful partnership. David Jones and Deb Foreman have backed the brand from the beginning and I am very thankful for their support.

The Academy Brand launched in 2007 as well as forging a distrubution deal with David Jones operates standalone stores across Sydney.
