Department store David Jones has again boosted its offering.

The retailer has signed on to stock Sydney-based brand Staple the label and Staple by staple in select David Jones stores nationally.

The label, founded early 2009, describes its product offering as “basics-with-a-twist” and will debut at David Jones in September with its spring 2012 collection, ‘Two Worlds Collide’.

The range, priced from $29 to $169, features a bold palette of watermelon red and rich corals alongside fresh whites, neutral hues and flashes of minty green.

Pieces in the collection will include a mix of structural silhouettes, directional prints and space age finishes, mixed with natural fluid fibres.

Statement pieces include the the label's signature printed pant suit, and the 'Geo Pastel Mini Skirt' and 'Slouch Tank', as well as 'Crepe Zip It Shorties' and a biker jacket. These will sit alongside basic’s such as the 'Jersey Panel Chiffon Singlet' and the 'Pilled Cotton Jogger'.

Staple the label and Staple by staple were created by designers Victoria Bolton and Karla Rose.

Since its initial launch in a few small Australian boutiques, Staple the label has grown and is now stocked in hundreds of boutiques in Australia and New Zealand. Internationally, Staple is also stocked across Canada, Japan, UK and online at ASOS.com and Urbanoutfitters.com.
