David Jones has confirmed that iconic executive David Bush left the company on amicable terms last week, and was not part of a sweeping head office restructure which kicked off in May.
ragtrader.com.au contacted the company regarding Bush's departure on August 6, and was provided with an announcement that had been issued via the Australian Stock Exchange (ASX) in May, addressing redundancies to its buying department.
A spokesperson has now confirmed Bush left the company on amicable terms and was not part of any consolidations or redundancies made in May.
"David Bush resigned in July and was in no way associated with the head office restructure which occurred in May."
Four days after ragtrader.com.au's initial enquiry, the department store issued a release announcing Bush's departure and a number of new appointments.
