Chadstone the Fashion Capital has joined forces with an unlikely heart starter.

The centre has partnered with St John Ambulance Victoria CPR lab in an activation to centred around life saving first aid skills.

For one week from Monday 19 June to Sunday 25 June, St John Ambulance Victoria will launch its first indoor CPR lab with groundbreaking technology.

It will allow customers to understand the speed of compression, depth and correct positioning needed to save a life, all within 10 minutes.

The portable CPR lab will teach customers the basics of CPR after it was revealed that just 23% of Victorians are trained and confident to respond in the case of a first aid emergency.

Chadstone GM Fiona MacKenzie said the activation has a solid aim in mind.

“We’re very proud to be working with the wonderful team at St. John Ambulance Victoria in bringing the CPR lab to Chadstone and providing our customers with skills that could save a life.

"CPR Lab is a completely free initiative from St John Ambulance Victoria so we encourage our customers and valued staff to participate in the interactive course.”

The lab will be located in-centre, lower level outside of the David Jones.
