Accessories chain Equip took Facebook by storm last week via its fresh campaign.
The campaign, which offered the Equip Facebook fan base a 50 per cent off voucher, was used to celebrate the brand's one-year anniversary on the social networking site.
Digital and public relations agency 6dc developed a specific app for Equip, where users had to ‘like’ the brand on Facebook in order to receive the voucher.
The app also encompassed a viral functionality; once users downloaded the voucher, all their Facebook friends saw that they had received a 50 per cent off voucher from Equip, prompting new users to 'like' the Equip page.
The campaign ran for one week and was communicated via Equip’s EDM, website and Twitter. Following the campaign, Equip increased its Facebook following by 12,500 new 'likes', with the voucher downloaded 10,000 times throughout the promotion.
