The Victoria Racing Club’s (VRC) has announced Brooke Hogan as the VRC Autumn Ambassador.

The influencer, who has over 720,000 Instagram followers, will attend Australian Guineas Day presented by 3AW on March 2, Super Saturday on March 9 and The All-Star Mile Raceday on March 16.

According to the VRC punters spent $44.3 million on fashion and accessories for the Melbourne Cup carnival in 2016.

Consumers purchased 295,397 fashion items, including 49,067 pairs of shoes, 46,448 dresses, 11,659 suits and 59,665 hats and fascinators.

“I am so excited to take on the role as the VRC’s ambassador for their autumn carnival. It’s such a wonderful time of the year in Melbourne and there is so much to enjoy at Flemington this March,” Hogan said.

“To think there are three consecutive weekends of premium racing, incredible food and entertainment, there is fun to be had for everyone. I just can’t wait for it all to begin.

“It’s hard to pick which day I am looking forward the most but I love the sound of the Enchanted Forest on Australian Guineas Day for families and the Super Garden Party on Super Saturday sounds right up my alley.”

VRC Executive GM of customer engagement Caroline Ralphsmith said Brooke was the perfect person to showcase the events and activities at Flemington throughout March.

“We are delighted to announce Brooke as the VRC autumn ambassador,” Ralphsmith said.

“The VRC’s autumn racing calendar is action packed and we can’t wait for Brooke to experience the fabulous food, fashion, entertainment and racing at Flemington on each raceday.”

Hogan's first official appearance will be at Flemington on February 27, for the Club’s autumn preview event.
