A Twitter storm broke out yesterday following an error made by bosses at Australian department store Myer.
In its Christmas sales promotion material, hung throughout its stores nationwide, signs reading 'Early bird get's the right size' were soon being ridiculed by customers online for the incorrect use of an apostrophe in 'get's'.
The error featured on various sized signs including a seven-storey poster which hung from the centre of one of its stores.
“This apostrophe disgrace is all over Myer stores,” said one Tweeter. "It's ok Myer, It's only a seven-storey nationwide poster, checking it probably isn't important,” commented another.
Many comments flooded the internet poking fun at the retail giant – which then prompted a Myer spokesman to respond.
“Thanks for all your feedback on our printing error - we’re getting this fixed at the moment,” a Myer spokesman said.
