How did one online fashion store apologise when it "messed up"?
Australian online fashion store Beginning Boutique has partnered with Movenpick to offer customers free ice cream at its stores across Queensland, Victoria and New South Wales.
The partnership is a bid to apologise to customers affected by the website's recent downtime.
Founder Sarah Timmerman said she values when a brand can say it "messed up" but is willing to make it up to customers.
"I am not too proud about our websites uptime to draw attention to our downtime.
"Our customers were affected by this so I want to be up front with customers and tell them we are sorry."
Registered customers will receive an email at 12pm today with their free ice cream voucher.
Customers simply present this electronic voucher at their nearest Movenpick boutique.
The image will then be promoted on Beginning Boutique’s home page and social media accounts at 9am on Thursday, for its audience of 1 million + to redeem.
The promotion will run until stocks last.
