This is what happened when a street artist ambushed the head office of an eyewear brand.

Le Specs has collaborated with Anthony Lister on its latest collection Time Traveller.

The wearable art range features 10 bespoke frames and will be available from February 2.

The collaboration started when Lister, known for his street art, used Le Specs' head office as the canvas for one of his ambushes.

Le Specs used the opportunity to contact the artist and request he come back to complete the work.

Le Specs head designer Hamish Tame said a partnership was born.

“The emphasis this season was on classic shapes reworked with a fresh irreverence. We were after a campaign that pushed the concept of attitude, and the stars aligned after Lister tagged our office wall one weekend.”

A demure, pastel colour palette is contrasted with holographic-effect mirror lenses taking the aesthetic back to the future.

Traditional wayfarers are given a masculine update with wider frames in a series of rubber and matte finishes.

Oversized round styles offer vintage glamour in neutral tones of coal tortoiseshell and brushed gold while graphic cats eye and aviator shapes are emboldened with fresh highlights.
