Scentre Group is set to unveil a $155 million redevelopment tomorrow.

The redevelopment of Casey Central Shopping Centre will be unveiled, with a focus on community-based activations.

The redevelopment includes 84 new fresh food, dining, specialty and mini major retailers, Target and Aldi, a relocated and refurbished Colesand a new Woolworths scheduled to open later in 2016.

Featuring a casual outdoor dining area with restaurants including Grill’d and Degani café plus a children’s playground, Casey Central is geared towards creating a family-based community.

Casey Central centre manager Daniel Boyle confirmed the strategy.

“We’re excited to welcome shoppers to their new place to meet, Casey Central Shopping Centre, which is growing to meet the needs of our local community.

“Run by locals, for locals, this bustling social and community hub will have all the essentials our shoppers have asked for under one roof – from services to fresh food and casual dining,” he said.

Four days of celebrations will follow the opening, including live entertainment and appearances from television personalities.

Situated in the heart of the City of Casey, Casey Central serves a population of 283,000.
